Breathtaking is the only word I have for Switzerland. The beauty of this country can't be put into words. Everywhere you look it feels like you're in a dream. Every corner you turn, another snow-capped mountain pops up out of nowhere. I truly have never been somewhere with views this incredible in my life (I've already decided I will be going back). Winter or summer, there's so much to do. Skiing, snowboarding, sledding, kayaking, paragliding, and skydiving are just some of the activities Interlaken has to offer.
Lake Brienz & Lake Thun
The water is crystal clear and since it's freshwater, it's delicious (and safe!) to drink. The tap water in Interlaken is also the best in world
Not your average "sledding" on Jungfrau mountain. The only thing I can compare this experience to is a real life version of Mario Kart - DK Summit. SO much fun!
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go paragliding through the Swiss Alps - absolutely a top moment of my life. If you have a chance to go to Switzerland I would HIGHLY recommend.
Must tries of Interlaken:
Funky Chocolate: house made Swiss chocolate, you can even send some back home
Hüsi Bierhaus: AMAZING dinner, one of the best since I've been abroad. They're known for the "Äpler Makkaroni" (basically the best mac and cheese ever) and their burgers.
Barracuda: Caffe/bar with light lunch as well, of course I got mulled wine again (best yet)
